Nail care

♡ Hello lovelies!
Everyone has their own routine for everything and I always find it quite interesting watching youtube videos on peoples morning routines, night routines etc. So I'm going to be doing a post about my nail care routine and everything I do each time I paint my nails. I find this method works best as it allows me to get the best result and also keeps my manicure on the longest.
So, firstly I buff and file the nail, I prefer having square nails so I usually just neaten up any breakages or what not. I alternate between my 7 sided nail file and just a normal nail block. I prefer the 7 sided file as it is much sharper and easier to use. Once all that's done I wipe each of my nails down with some nail polish remover to remove any oils as this allows the nail polish to adhere to the nail better. I used the Cien nail polish remover and this is one of my favourites simply because of the packaging, it is one of those cool bottles that has a sort of pump and makes removing nail polish a lot easier. Moving on to the actual nail painting, I begin with a base coat. I use the essence hardening nail base coat, I find this really works and does make my nails feel a lot stronger, it creates a smooth base for the colour polish and also helps keep the polish in tact for longer. Next comes the colour polish, in this case it was Barry Ms Gelly nail paint in "Greenberry". I really recommend the gelly polishes as they are great quality and have a brilliant set of colours available. Lastly I finish the whole this of with a top coat, this time using Essence quick dry top coat, again another great Essence nail product as it does in fact dry extremely quickly and also makes my nails nice and glossy!

Beauty on a budget | MUA Eyeshadow Trio

♡ Hello lovelies!
So I don't know about you but I know that personally I love finding beauty bargains which include great products for small prices. MUA is a well known UK brand as it's known for it's cheap prices. I've tried my fair share of their products, and I can honestly say it is quite a good brand, however some of their oldest products are not so great. Today I will be talking about the eyeshadow trio in the shade 'Innocence', these little trios come in a number of different shades and can be found in superdrug for only 3.50. I got this as a gift quite a while back and have slowly fell in love with it, when I first started using the product I would apply it with a brush which gave off poor pigmentation, because of this I put the trio to the side for a bit until a few months ago I gave it another go. I discovered that to get the best pigmentation from this product is to either use your fingers to apply and then blend out with a brush or use the little sponge applicator it comes with. As you can see from the pictures the colours are beautiful and when applied correctly they can give the nicest outcome. Although you can't see it in the picture, the darkest shade has really pretty blue iridescent undertones and the other two colours are very shimmery and really make your eyes pop. The trio allows you to create various looks both light and dark, therefore it is very good for travelling and I usually take this when going away or to sleepovers. I am also quite surprised at the quality of the sponge applicator it comes with, I would usually expect those types of applicators to be quite flimsy and rough but this is very good quality and even after being washed shows no signs of wear and tear, as well as this it has a handy little slot so it doesn't go missing in your make up bag/storage due to it being so small. Lastly I quite like the packaging as it's simple, sleek and sturdy. It gets knocked about quite a bit when I take it out with me and so far no damage has been done to it, also it clicks and closes together very well as in the past I've had other eyeshadow open in my bag and go everywhere.
I would highly recommend this trio for you if you're looking for great deals and often travel or like to have your make up on the go with you!

Whats in my school make up bag?

♡  Hello lovelies!
It feels so good to be back to blogging, I have missed each and every one of you!
Since the school year has began once again I'm going to be sharing with you the things I take with me! I got this make up bag from primark last year for around £3 and never really used it apart from for sleepovers, but this year I have been taking it to school with me everyday. I like the fact it's very simple and has little detail, the bag only has two pockets but they are much bigger than they look, they could fit about twice as much of what I keep in there so I think this is a really handy and cheap make up bag. The inside is a waterproof material so if anything spills or stains it can be easily cleaned.
So moving on to the actual content of the bag, Firstly I have my Burts Bees Grapefruit lip balm which I absolutely love! I love tangy citrusy scents so this is perfect for me, it keeps my lips moisturised really well however it is almost finished, you can find this lip balm in boots for around £3. Next I have a de-stressing and soothing body spray from Asda, this was very cheap so it's quite handy if you are on a tight budget, I love the packaging of this body spray especially the paisley print, the smell is very unusual and pretty much indescribable but you could say it is quite exotic and unusual. Recently I've been struggling with having very dry hands, especially now that it's getting a bit colder, so I have been carrying around this Avon care cocoa butter hand cream that came in a set with a body butter and lotion, this helps really well and smells lovely, it also does not leave your hands feeling greasy which is what I mainly look for in a hand cream. The next item is another reason for having extremely dry hands, I have discovered that antibacterial hand gels tend to dry out your hands a lot so I have gone for the Carex moisture plus as it is a little less harsh. Underneath that I have my trusty nail file/buffer with 7 different sides, this comes in handy as I am growing out my nails and this helps rescue me if I end up breaking one in school. To the left of that I have my Maybelline fit me powder which also is on it's final days, I love the packaging of this powder as the sponge has a separate compartment and doesn't get as gross and dirty so easily. The last two items are a mini hair brush and some pain killers. The little hair brush is just from a small discount store, and comes in handy as in autumn i'm always battling with extremely frizzy hair, lastly I have some pain killers as i tend to get headaches quite often so they come in handy when I'm in school.

I hope you enjoyed this post, more coming soon!
